Cloud Servers 2017-04-29T04:28:12+00:00

A ‘Cloud Server’ is a Virtual Server hosted in another location other than your office, and is accessed using the internet.
Cloud Servers have many benefits, most of which are an advantage to small and medium businesses, contrary to the popular belief that Cloud Computing is only for the big companies.

Having a Cloud Server provides many benefits some of which include:

Centralised Computer System
Having a centralised computer system means all your information and software applications are in one place and accessible where and when you need it.

A Neos Cloud Server solution includes a daily snapshot of your information which is held off-site for protection should anything physical happen to the Neos data centre. There are also options around having a local backup (backup in your office).

Business Continuity
Should something happen to your business premises it is simple to move location and continue working. You can have your staff work from home or even a café.

Mobile/Remote Access anywhere, anytime
A Cloud Server provides the best possible computing power for your staff anywhere they are and anytime they need access to the system. This allows for your people to work from home, on the road or even overseas without any loss of functionality.

Lower Maintenance Costs
A Cloud Server provides a lower cost of ownership as you are sharing hardware costs and maintenance costs. You are also kept up-to-date with the latest software so you have no need for large financial outlays every time a new software version is released*.

Fixed monthly fee with no surprises
It is important to know what your business costs are and with a Neos Cloud Server, you know exactly what your monthly charges are so there are no surprises.

Software and system is always up-to-date with the latest releases
Your system is always up-to-date with the latest software and system software.

How does it all work?
All you need is an internet connection.
Once you’re online you can create a secure link, called a VPN (Virtual Private Network) and then connect to your Cloud Server using Remote Desktop Software. You then have access to all your information, software programs and email. It’s that simple!
